MARION SPICHER
MANKIND

I am mankind/I walk the street

I work my job/I take the heat

I seek to make my life have meaning

Why must life be so demeaning?

Looking around and up I see

That there are no answers there for me

Then sadly, slowly, I begin

To cast my eyes on what’s within.

A whisper faint, a hollow spot

Begins to tell me what I’ve got.

A lovely womb that’s hollowed out …

A place for grace and hope to sprout.

And from that hope I live a prayer

And growing slowly faith is there …

Faith to walk me on the  path

Towards great Love, away from wrath.

There’s nothing for me but to wait

For life’s great plan, my only fate

To forge me into purest love

The perfect kind poured from above.
